Experience in Life Insurance / Life IT domain
Provide production support for Mainframe applications
Monitor and manage batch jobs using Control-M scheduler
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs
Perform job abends analysis and fix issues related to COBOL programs, JCL, and datasets
Work on file handling and VSAM dataset issues (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS)
Use Mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.) for data management and troubleshooting
Perform code fixes, emergency patches, and minor enhancements when required
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, business, infra) for issue resolution
Maintain proper incident documentation and root cause analysis (RCA)
Support release and deployment activities
Ensure compliance with audit and operational standards
Valuable knowledge of:
Batch processing and job flow
Abend codes and debugging techniques
File handling and dataset management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure in critical production environments
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Self-driven with a proactive approach
