SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Developer & Build Experience (Gradle, C/C++)
The Role
AMD is looking for a Senior Lead Engineer to strengthen our Developer Experience and Build Engineering function. In this role, you will own and evolve our Gradle-based build infrastructure, lead the adoption of third-party upgrades, and mentor engineers across the organization. You will be a key technical leader driving the productivity, reliability, and maintainability of our software delivery pipeline for large-scale C/C++ codebases.
You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.
The Person
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
Key Responsibilities
Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products and Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
Build & Developer Experience: Design, maintain, and continuously improve our Gradle build systems to deliver rapid, reliable, and scalable builds that maximize developer productivity across C/C++ projects
Lead the evaluation, planning, and execution of third-party library, framework, and toolchain upgrades—ensuring compatibility, stability, and timely remediation of security vulnerabiliti
