ABOUT MANDRAKE BIO

Mandrake Bio is an AI-biology research lab building models that understand and design biology. We combine AI, biological data, biophysics, compute and wet-lab feedback to develop programmable proteins and gene-editing systems.
We are a small, talent-dense team backed by Activate, Antler, DeVC, Spectrum Impact and others.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a high-agency Operations Associate who can make the entire company move faster.
You’ll take ownership of the operational work behind our research- from procurement, vendors and finance coordination to hiring logistics and workplace operations.

This is not a passive administrative role. You’ll be expected to notice problems early, create systems where none exist and reliably take things from “someone should handle this” to done.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• Run day-to-day office and research operations
• Manage procurement, inventory, vendors, quotations, shipping and follow-ups
• Coordinate invoices, payments,



budgets and documentation with our finance partners
• Support hiring, interview scheduling, onboarding and employee operations
• Organize travel, meetings, visitors and company events
• Build easy processes and trackers that make recurring work more reliable
• Take ownership of urgent, ambiguous projects that do not fit neatly into anyone else’s role
