Job Summary

The Cloud Platform Engineer brings strong infrastructure systems and software engineering principles to design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable Cloud platforms and automation solutions for The Standard. You will collaborate with software engineering, systems engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure that platforms and services are highly available, performant, secure, and supported with robust monitoring, alerting,



and incident response processes.

This role may focus on either Platform Engineering or Delivery team embedded Automation Engineering, depending on business needs. Platform Engineers build and support reusable cloud platforms and services, while Automation Engineers embedded in delivery teams focus on pipelines, automation, and tooling that accelerate development and deployment

Key Responsibilities

Utilize Infrastructure as Code, pipeline orchestration, and source control to reliably manage infrastructure and software releases.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and pipeline related issues, acting as an escalation point for delivery and platform teams.
Develop automation to remediate issues, accelerate delivery, and strengthen cloud security.
Apply software engineering practices to build tools, services, and automation that improve cloud platform reliability and developer experience.
