Software Engineer III - BenTech Integrations

Job Summary

The Standard is seeking a Software Engineer III with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, Confluent Platform (Apache Kafka), and event-driven architecture to support the bentech integrations strategy. This strategy is intended to elevate The Standard customers' overall digital experiences in enrollment,



administration and claims through modern API-first and event-driven integration patterns that bridge The Standard's vast insurance ecosystem and data with customer Human Capital Management Systems, broker digital solutions and data intermediaries.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Analysts, Scrum Masters, Front-End Engineers, Software Developers in Test, Data Engineers, DevOps / Site Reliability Engineers, and Architects to build scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise-grade services. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer who can independently deliver features and enhancements, contribute to technical solution design, translate business requirements into application functionality, and work effectively within an Agile delivery team.
