: JMeter Performance Test Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with expertise in JMeter, different types of performance testing like load testing, stress testing, endurance testing and spike testing. The ideal candidate will lead performance testing activities, designing and developing Performance test scripts, design & develop scalable JMeter JMX test plan, executing test plan, and measure performance metrics and identify performance bottlenecks.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead, architect, design and develop and JMeter JMX test plans from scratch, including custom samplers, listeners, and controllers
- Lead, develop, execute and maintain API Performance test scripts using JMeter
- Develop sophisticated JMeter test scripts with advanced features including parameterization, correlation, assertions, and dynamic data handling
- Design and implement performance test frameworks that support reusability, maintainability, and CI/CD integration
- Analyse API performance test results including response times, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization & identify performance bottlenecks




- Mentor team members on Performance Testing & JMeter best practices, test script techniques, measuring performance & identifying bottlenecks
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to find and resolve issues as early as possible in SDLC

Skills & Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in software testing and QA with a robust focus on performance test automation.
- 5+ years of strong experience in JMeter & Performance testing
- Strong experience in API Testing, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, REST/SOAP APIs
- Expert-level proficiency in Apache JMeter, including advanced features and architecture
- Deep understanding of JMX test plan structure, components, and configuration
- Extensive experience developing complex test scripts with correlation, parameterization, and data-driven testing
- Strong scripting abilities in Java, Groovy, BeanShell, or JSR223 for JMeter customization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in E-Commerce domain and Continuous Testing is a big plus.
