Job Description-
We are looking for a Chef to take responsibility for the day-to-day kitchen operations at our heritage villa in Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh.

The role is suited to someone with basic kitchen knowledge who has a genuine interest in food and is eager to learn and develop their culinary skills.

Success in this role means maintaining a clean, organised and disciplined kitchen, delivering consistent and good-quality food for guests, managing ingredients responsibly, and actively participating in developing an interesting and evolving culinary program for the property.

This is not just a routine cooking role. The Chef will work closely with the culinary consultant and will have the chance to learn new techniques, experiment with food, contribute ideas and grow professionally while helping shape the food experience at the villa.

Responsibilities-
* Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, plating and service.
* Prepare breakfast,



meals and other food requirements for villa guests while maintaining consistency in taste and quality.
* Maintain proper "mise-en-place, kitchen organisation and workflow" throughout daily operations.
* Follow standard recipes, preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
* Maintain high standards of "kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, food safety and personal hygiene."
* Handle ingredients responsibly, including proper storage, stock rotation and minimising food wastage.
* Assist with menu trials, recipe development and introduction of new dishes.
* Learn and apply new culinary techniques and cooking methods through hands-on training and mentorship.
* Contribute ideas and feedback towards developing an interesting, evolving and locally relevant culinary experience for the property.
* Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation while adapting to guest requirements where appropriate.
