Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with robust expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications and distributed systems. The candidate should have experience in building cloud-ready microservices architectures and event-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable and resilient Microservices-based applications.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging.
- Participate in application design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Ensure adherence to security, coding, and compliance standards.

Required Skills

Core Java

- Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Good understanding of Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Streams, and Exception Handling.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and SOLID principles.

Spring Framework

- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring Data JPA / Hibernate

Microservices

- Designing and implementing Microservices architecture.
- Service Discovery, API Gateway, Circuit Breaker patterns.
- Distributed systems concepts and best practices.

REST APIs

- Developing RESTful web services.
- API versioning, authentication, authorization, and documentation.
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI.

Kafka

- Kafka Producers and Consumers.
- Event-driven architecture.
- Message Queues and Asynchronous Processing.
- Kafka topic management and monitoring.

Database Skills

- SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Query optimization and performance tuning.
- Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases is preferred.

DevOps & Tools

- Git/GitHub/GitLab
- Maven or Gradle
- Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Jenkins or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Desired Experience

- 3–8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka in production environments.
- Experience developing scalable, high-volume enterprise applications.

Nice to Have

- Redis or caching technologies.
- Messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
- Unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of containerized and cloud-native applications.
