Role Description This full time, on-site IT Cabling Engineer role is based in Bengaluru. The IT Cabling Engineer will install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including fiber and copper, in alignment with project designs and industry standards. The role involves conducting site surveys, reading and interpreting network and cabling diagrams, organizing cable pathways, racks, and patch panels, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

The engineer will perform routine inspections, identify faults, and carry out troubleshooting to maintain optimal network performance. Day-to-day responsibilities also include coordinating with project managers and other technical teams,



adhering to safety and compliance requirements, and supporting upgrades and expansions of network infrastructure for client locations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Information Technology and Networking skills, including familiarity with LAN/WAN environments and structured cabling standards.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose cabling and connectivity issues and perform timely resolutions.
- Candidates should possess awareness of Network Security principles related to physical network infrastructure and secure cable management.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with fiber and copper cable installation, termination, testing tools, and cable certification processes.
- Candidates should possess good documentation and communication skills to record cabling layouts, maintain asset records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in IT, electronics, or a related field; industry certifications in networking or cabling (such as CCNA or vendor-specific cabling certifications) are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in diverse environments, follow safety protocols, manage time effectively, and handle physical aspects of cabling work.
