Role Description The IT Cabling Technician role at Karmikus is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The technician will install, terminate and test network and structured cabling, including fiber and copper, in office and industrial environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving cabling-related issues, performing routine maintenance, labeling and documenting cable layouts, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

The role involves coordinating with project leads, IT teams and customers to support new deployments, upgrades and moves, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.



The technician will also assist with basic network hardware installation and provide on-site support during system rollouts.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve cabling and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support and Information Technology skills to assist with network equipment, configuration basics and infrastructure maintenance.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, understand requirements and provide transparent updates on work progress.
- Candidates should possess Training-related skills to follow standard operating procedures and share best practices with team members when needed.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with structured cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA), experience with fiber and copper termination, and the ability to read basic network and floor plans are beneficial.
- Prior experience in cabling or IT infrastructure deployment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with tools and equipment are preferred.
- A diploma or certification in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, and any recognized cabling or networking certification (e.g., CCNA, BICSI) will be an advantage.
