Role DescriptionOmen Solutions is looking for a Mechanical & Structural Engineering Intern to support our ongoing engineering and consultancy projects.

This is a remote, hands-on role where the selected candidate will work with engineering software, drawings, analysis, calculations and technical documentation while gaining exposure to real professional projects.

The internship will initially be for 1 month and may be extended for up to 6 months depending on performance, capability and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Support mechanical and structural design activities
- Develop and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
- Assist with structural modelling, engineering analysis and FEA
- Perform engineering calculations and design checks
- Interpret analysis results and assist with design improvements
- Prepare drawings, BOMs/BOQs, calculation sheets and technical documentation
- Review and update existing engineering designs
- Research and apply relevant engineering codes and standards
- Maintain proper documentation of engineering work and design revisions
- Coordinate remotely with the engineering team
- Complete assigned technical tasks within project timelines

Required Software SkillsCandidates should have practical working knowledge of:

- STAAD.Pro
- SolidWorks
- ANSYS
- AutoCAD





Knowledge of additional engineering software will be an advantage, including:
- Tekla Structures
- ETABS
- SAP2000
- Revit / Revit Structure
- Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
- CATIA
- Creo
- Solid Edge
- Fusion 360
- Other relevant CAD / CAE / FEA / BIM software

You are not expected to know every software listed above. Practical experience matters more than certificates.

- Have sound mechanical and/or structural engineering fundamentals
- Understand engineering drawings
- Be comfortable with 2D drafting and 3D modelling
- Understand basic structural analysis and FEA concepts
- Be able to perform basic engineering calculations
- Have an understanding of materials and engineering design
- Be willing to learn and work with Indian and international engineering standards/codes
- Be able to research unfamiliar technical requirements independently
- Have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Pay close attention to engineering details
- Be comfortable learning new software and engineering methods
- Be able to explain the reasoning behind their engineering decisions




- Communicate clearly and maintain proper technical documentation

Internship DetailsPosition: Internship – Mechanical & Structural Engineering

Work Mode: Remote

Location: India

Duration: 1 month initially

Extension: Up to 6 months based on performance and project requirements

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Stipend: ₹10,000 – ₹18,000 per month, depending on practical skills and experience

Reasonable flexibility in working hours may be considered for students depending on their academic schedule.
