Freelance/ Contractor - Payroll Specialist – U.S. Payroll & Odoo Community 18About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a U.S.-based organization with the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of our payroll setting.
This is a hands-on technical payroll role requiring strong knowledge of U.S. payroll as well as demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Odoo Community 18 using OCA Payroll.
The ideal candidate can work independently, understand U.S. payroll requirements, and translate payroll requirements into a properly configured Odoo payroll environment. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and communicate with all stakeholders efficiently and effectively.

Mandatory Requirement
Candidates MUST have hands-on experience with:
Odoo Community Edition 18
OCA Payroll
Configuring and maintaining payroll functionality within Odoo
U.S. payroll processing and payroll requirements




Applicants without actual Odoo Community 18 + OCA Payroll experience will not be considered.
Key ResponsibilitiesOdoo Payroll
Configure and maintain Odoo Community 18 payroll using OCA Payroll
Configure employee contracts, salary structures, rules, deductions, benefits, and payroll inputs
Configure payroll calendars, pay periods, and payroll workflows
Build and maintain salary rules and payroll calculations
Configure appropriate accounting entries and payroll journals
Troubleshoot payroll configuration and calculation issues
Maintain and improve the payroll system as business requirements change
Document payroll configurations and processes
U.S. Payroll
Process and support U.S. payroll requirements
Understand federal, state, and local payroll taxes and deductions
Understand employee and employer payroll tax calculations
Support multi-state payroll requirements
Understand federal, state, and local payroll considerations
Work with payroll tax filing/p
