Senior Performance Test Engineer / Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer / Lead with over 8 years of experience in software testing, specializing in performance testing. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in performance testing methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of designing and executing performance tests for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business flows.

Responsibilities

Design and execute performance tests including Load, Stress, Endurance, Volume, and Failover testing.
Develop performance test strategies, workload modeling, test planning, and estimation.
Conduct performance test scripting, execution, monitoring, and results analysis.
Identify performance bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
Utilize monitoring/APM tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk, and Aternity/Riverbed for performance analysis.
Analyze production data to define appropriate TPS, workload, and test scenarios.




Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding performance reporting, issue tracking, and risk management.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure performance testing aligns with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

8+ years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Performance Testing.
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Micro Focus Performance Center.
Proficiency in Python and Locust scripting.
Strong skills in performance test scripting, execution, monitoring, and results analysis.
Experience in performance testing of Web Applications, APIs, and end-to-end business flows.
Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks across various layers.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA processes.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.
