Divit MPS provides trained virtual assistants (VAs) to US medical practices, supporting administrative, billing, scheduling, and patient-coordination workflows. Because our team works remotely with US healthcare data, information security and HIPAA-aligned operations are central to how we deliver service.

We are looking for an IT Manager to own the technology backbone of our business — from workstation and network security to cloud infrastructure and compliance controls.

Position Summary The IT Manager is responsible for designing, securing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports Divit MPS's virtual assistant operations, including AWS-based virtual desktop environments used by VAs to access client systems. This role combines hands-on systems administration with compliance ownership, ensuring that every technical control needed to protect US patient data (PHI) is implemented, documented, and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Virtual Desktops

- Administer AWS WorkSpaces (or equivalent VDI) used by VA staff to securely access client medical practice systems.
- Manage directory services (AD Connector or AWS Managed Microsoft AD) and user provisioning/de-provisioning.
- Configure and maintain KMS encryption on root and user volumes, and oversee key management practices.
- Own the AWS setting's cost, capacity planning, and uptime for VA workstations.

Security & HIPAA Compliance
- Maintain and evidence the AWS Business Associate Addendum (BAA) via AWS Artifact for all in-scope services.
- Enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) via RADIUS or equivalent for all remote access.
- Configure and monitor CloudTrail logging with a retention policy meeting the six-year HIPAA documentation standard.
- Implement data loss prevention (DLP) controls, including disabling clipboard redirection and local drive mapping on virtual desktops.
- Run periodic access reviews,



vulnerability scans, and risk assessments; track remediation to closure.
- Maintain incident response procedures and lead the technical response to any suspected security or data event.
- Support workforce HIPAA security training and enforce acceptable-use and device policies.

Network & Endpoint Management
- Manage office/remote network security, VPN access, and firewall configuration.
- Standardize endpoint security (antivirus/EDR, patching, disk encryption) across VA workstations.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve connectivity or access issues affecting VA productivity.

Vendor & Client Coordination
- Serve as the technical point of contact for client IT/security questionnaires and onboarding requirements.
- Manage relationships with AWS and other technology vendors, including contracts and support escalations.
- Document infrastructure architecture, security controls, and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of IT infrastructure or systems administration experience, including at least 2 years working with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS WorkSpaces, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and VPC networking.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA technical safeguards and experience operating within a compliance framework.
- Experience with Active Directory / directory services administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, endpoint, and cloud environments.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect – Associate).
- Prior experience supporting a BPO, KPO, or healthcare-adjacent outsourcing environment.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC 2, or NIST 800-66.
- Experience with RADIUS/MFA solutions and DLP tooling.
