Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Application Developer role based in Kolkata.

The Application

Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support client business requirements across web, mobile, and backend systems.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, implementing clean and efficient code using object-oriented principles, and integrating with databases, APIs, and third-party services. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving application issues, optimizing performance and security, and participating in code reviews and documentation to ensure maintainable, high-quality solutions.



The developer will also contribute to continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and best practices aligned with AK International’s service offerings.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Application Development and Software Development skills, including experience building and maintaining production-ready solutions.
- Candidates should possess solid Information Technology fundamentals, with knowledge of system architecture, networking basics, and secure development practices.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, Python, or similar).
- Candidates should possess practical experience working with Databases, including designing schemas, writing optimized queries, and integrating applications with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Candidates should possess effective problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualified experience.
- Experience with web frameworks, RESTful APIs, version control (e.g., Git), and Agile or iterative development methodologies is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or ERP/Odoo-based solutions is a plus.
