Human Resources ManagerKolkata, Howrah | Full time | On-site

Experience: Minimum 3–4 years

Company DescriptionDiagnex is an integrated healthcare infrastructure and care-delivery company building a distributed healthcare ecosystem that connects advanced care at home, qualified care management, doctors, hospitals, pharmacy, diagnostics and healthcare technology into one coordinated patient journey.

With a healthcare legacy dating to 1995, Diagnex operates across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata and Howrah. The organisation is being built around structured care delivery, qualified people, transparent accountability, clinical governance and disciplined operating systems. Our focus is to make healthcare easier to coordinate for patients and families while building dependable infrastructure for clinicians, partners and healthcare teams.

Role DescriptionDiagnex is looking for a Human Resources Manager to manage and strengthen people operations for the Kolkata organisation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage day-to-day HR execution while also building the processes required for a growing healthcare company. The role will cover recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, performance management, payroll coordination, employee relations, workforce planning, HR compliance and people reporting across clinical and non-clinical teams.

The HR Manager will work closely with leadership and functional managers to ensure that hiring decisions, employee processes and workplace practices are consistent, documented and commercially practical. In clinical and patient-facing recruitment, the role will also coordinate qualification, registration and credential documentation with the relevant clinical or operational owner; assessment of clinical competence remains with appropriately qualified clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for clinical, operational, corporate and support roles, from manpower requirement through joining.
- Build structured recruitment processes including job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offer documentation and candidate tracking.
- Coordinate verification of qualifications,

registrations and required credentials for clinical and patient-facing hires with the relevant clinical owner.
- Own employee onboarding, induction, documentation, personnel records and exit processes.
- Maintain accurate employee information and HR records using appropriate HR systems or structured databases.
- Coordinate attendance, leave, payroll inputs, statutory documentation and benefits administration.
- Support manpower planning and workforce requirements across functions as the organisation grows.
- Implement clear probation, confirmation, performance review and performance-improvement processes.
- Develop practical KRAs and KPIs with department heads and ensure performance reviews are completed consistently.
- Handle employee relations matters professionally, including grievances, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution and workplace concerns.
- Support managers on people-management issues, team structure, role clarity and performance conversations.
- Maintain HR policies, employee documentation and processes in line with applicable employment and workplace requirements.
- Coordinate learning, induction and manager-development initiatives where required.
- Track recruitment, attrition, absenteeism, workforce cost and other relevant people metrics for management review.
- Support culture-building initiatives based on accountability, professionalism, respect and high standards of patient-facing conduct.
- Ensure sensitive employee and candidate information is handled confidentially and with appropriate access controls.

What Success in This Role Looks LikeThe HR Manager will be expected to establish a people function that is organised, measurable and dependable. Key performance indicators are expected to include hiring turnaround, joining conversion, completion of employee and credential documentation,

onboarding completion, payroll-input accuracy, probation and performance-review completion, employee retention, HR compliance closure and the quality and accuracy of workforce reporting.

The role should progressively reduce dependence on informal follow-ups by creating clear processes, ownership, records and management visibility.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant HR experience.
- Strong working experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation and HR operations.
- Practical understanding of payroll coordination, attendance, leave administration and HR systems.
- Experience handling employee relations, grievances, performance management and workplace issues.
- Working knowledge of applicable labour and employment compliance requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgement when handling confidential or sensitive employee matters.
- Comfortable working with HR data, trackers, reports and management information.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with functional and senior leadership.
- Strong organisation, follow-through and documentation discipline.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, hospitals, home healthcare or another multi-location operating environment will be an advantage.
- Professional HR certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is comfortable operating beyond a purely administrative HR role. The right candidate should be able to recruit effectively, deal with employees fairly, maintain strong documentation, challenge incomplete processes and help managers build disciplined teams.

Healthcare experience is useful, but operating maturity matters more. The person should be comfortable working in an environment where clinical roles require stronger credentialing and governance than conventional corporate hiring.
