Role: Legal & Compliance Lead – IT & Gig Workforce
Experience required: 3 to 5 years
Location:- Thane, Mumbai

Must Have Skills:-
Legal & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, employment regulations, social security provisions, wage and taxation requirements, and statutory obligations.
Monitor emerging legislation and regulatory developments impacting IT associates, contract employees, vendors, and gig workers.
Provide legal interpretation and compliance guidance to business leaders, HR teams, and operations stakeholders.
Coordinate with Corporate Legal and external counsels on legal matters and litigation management.
Gig Workforce Governance
Design and implement governance frameworks for gig and platform workforce engagement.
Oversee worker classification, contract governance, onboarding compliance, KYC verification, and audit readiness.
Ensure compliance with the Code on Social Security, 2020 and other applicable regulations governing gig workers.




Manage risks relating to workforce misclassification, statutory liabilities, wage disputes, and contractor compliance.
Establish periodic compliance reviews of gig workforce partners and vendors.
Compliance Investigations & Grievance Management
Lead investigations relating to employee misconduct, code of conduct violations, fraud, ethics concerns, POSH complaints, and workplace grievances.
Conduct fact-finding exercises, evidence reviews, interviews, and disciplinary proceedings.
Draft and review warning notices, charge sheets, show cause notices, disciplinary communications, and investigation reports.
Recommend appropriate corrective and disciplinary actions while ensuring procedural fairness and legal defensibility.
Audit & Risk Management
Drive internal and external compliance audits across workforce operations.
Develop compliance dashboards, risk registers, audit trackers, and governance reports.
