Our client, a fast-growing agri-labour marketplace, is launching banana as a recent crop vertical. This is a category-creation role — the person will own banana end-to-end: playbook, ground workforce, farmer demand, and P&L;, built from scratch with no existing structure to inherit.

Responsibilities

- Own banana category P&L; — build the playbook, set up clusters (starting Solapur), hit growth/quality targets
- Build and train a banana-specific ground workforce — SOPs for harvesting/fruit-care
- Drive farmer acquisition — pitch, relationships, funnel for onboarding new farmers
- Build labour-sourcing corridors (incl. West Bengal) to scale the workforce

Requirements

- 8+ years, with direct ownership of banana value-chain operations
- Background at a large banana exporter/processor (e.g. INI Farms, Desai Fruits, Trident Agrocom)
- Hands-on, startup builder mindset
- Willing to be based on-ground in Maharashtra's banana belts
- No specific education requirement
