Position Summary
The Operations Manager in the Railway Services industry is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the railway system. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains, coordinating schedules, managing staff, and implementing operational strategies to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
The Operations Manager also collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with recent and existing customers
- Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
