Overview

Senior Software Engineer role focused on designing, developing, testing, and deploying web-tier applications with a strong emphasis on front-end architecture. Requires deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript, and the ability to work independently in an agile, rapid-paced environment. The role includes ownership of front-end implementation and contributing to a shared design system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable front-end web applications
- Analyse and enhance an existing codebase, offering technical insights and improvements
- Build and maintain reusable components within a shared design system
- Apply strong performance optimisation and responsive design principles




- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced team environment
- Participate in project estimation based on wireframes and desired functionality
- Integrate CMS-driven content and implement feature toggling
- Research emerging technologies relevant to assigned tasks
- Participate in relevant project and technical meetings
- Advise on technical options, trade-offs, and impacts to broader systems
- Prioritise tasks effectively and communicate progress and roadblocks clearly
- All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience with front-end development using JavaScript and React
- Experience with Redux or similar state management libraries
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience using Git SCM via command line and tooling
- Experience writing and maintaining unit and component tests using Jest and react-testing-library
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
