Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Chengalpattu for a Fresher – NPD and Sourcing – Metal Division. The role involves supporting new product development activities in the metal division, including assisting in preparing technical documentation, bill of materials, and basic drawings or specifications under guidance. The candidate will coordinate with internal engineering, quality, and production teams to gather data, track project status,



and ensure timely execution of NPD milestones.

Day-to-day tasks include supporting supplier identification, collecting quotations, maintaining sourcing records, and helping evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. The role also includes monitoring material availability, assisting in follow-up with suppliers, participating in process and cost improvement initiatives, and adhering to company standards for safety, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications

- Strong interest in manufacturing, metal fabrication, and new product development, with basic understanding of mechanical or industrial engineering concepts.
- Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications, and documentation; familiarity with MS Office and basic ERP or data management tools is beneficial.
- Good analytical and research skills for supplier evaluation, cost comparison, and tracking project timelines.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and capability to follow structured processes and quality standards.
- Knowledge of supply chain or procurement fundamentals is an advantage; prior internship or project experience in manufacturing or sourcing is a plus.
