Role Description The Freelance Human Resources Consultant will provide full-time, on-site HR support at SB Consultants’ Vadodara location. This role involves designing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures aligned with local regulations and company standards. The consultant will manage day-to-day employee relations, including handling queries, resolving workplace issues, and supporting performance and disciplinary processes.

Responsibilities include advising leadership on labor and employment law, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting recruitment, onboarding,



and workforce planning for engineering and consulting roles. The consultant will also collaborate with management to enhance employee engagement, support training and development initiatives, and recommend improvements to HR systems and documentation.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience supporting growing or project-based organizations.
- Ability to design, review, and implement HR Policies tailored to local regulations and organizational needs.
- Proficiency in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, performance support, and communication with diverse teams.
- Working knowledge of Labor and Employment Law in India, with a focus on compliance, documentation, and statutory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field; advanced HR certifications are an advantage.
- Experience as an HR generalist or consultant, preferably within engineering, construction, or technical consulting environments.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with leadership and project teams.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Comfort working full-time on-site in Vadodara, with flexibility to support project-driven timelines and priorities.
