FP&A; Lead – Business Finance
Company: Driver Logistics
Location: Kochi, Kerala
Reports to: Leadership Team
About the Role
We are looking for an FP&A; Lead to help us build a deeper understanding of our business economics and improve the quality of our decisions.
This is not primarily an accounting or MIS role.
The role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, commercial, technology and data and should continuously help us answer:
What happened? Why did it happen? What is likely to happen next? What should we do about it?
Key Responsibilities
- Own budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial planning and scenario modelling.
- Analyse actual vs budget/forecast and identify the root causes behind variances, not just report them.
- Build profitability and unit economics across customers, contracts, locations, hubs, lanes and shipments.
- Develop operational-financial metrics such as revenue/kg, cost/kg, contribution/kg, utilisation and cost-to-serve.
- Partner closely with Operations and Commercial teams on pricing, customer profitability, network economics and business decisions.
- Develop strong visibility into working capital, DSO, DPO, cash flow and growth-related funding requirements.
- Support leadership with concise, decision-oriented analysis on investments, expansion, pricing and resource allocation.
- Work with our technology and data teams to automate reporting, profitability analysis and decision-support systems.
- Build the FP&A; function, processes, KPI frameworks and business review rhythms as the organisation scales.
What We Are Looking For
- 5–8+ years in FP&A;, Business Finance, Commercial Finance or Financial Analysis.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent background preferred.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution or another operations-intensive business is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow and unit economics.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel capabilities; BI/SQL exposure is an advantage.
- Solid analytical thinking, business curiosity and ability to work across functions.
Most importantly, we want someone who naturally asks why.
Why did margins change? Why is a customer expensive to serve? Why is a lane underperforming? Why is working capital increasing? And what should we do about it?
What Success Looks Like
Help Driver progressively move from:
Reporting → Understanding → Forecasting → Decision Intelligence The objective: better decisions, earlier, with better information.
