Role Description – Finishing Supervisor The Finishing Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all finishing and associated construction activities at the project site, from block work and waterproofing to final snagging, de-snagging, quality inspection, and handover.

The role includes planning, monitoring, and executing finishing works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, project schedules, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Finishing Activities

Supervision of block work, AAC block work, brickwork, partition walls, and related masonry activities.

Checking line, level, plumb, dimensions, openings, and alignment of masonry works.

Supervision of internal and external plastering, including surface preparation, repairs, and finishing.

Monitoring waterproofing works in toilets, bathrooms, terraces, balconies, decks, utility areas, wet areas, and other critical locations.

Conducting ponding tests and leakage checks and ensuring proper rectification.

Supervision of flooring works, including vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles, marble, granite, skirting, dado, and other floor finishes.

Monitoring wall tiling, kitchen platform, counter, backsplash, and stone works.





Supervision of false ceiling and gypsum works, including framing, boards, jointing, finishing, and level checking.

Monitoring painting works, including surface preparation, putty, primer, sanding, internal and external painting, texture, touch-up, and final finishing.

Supervision of carpentry and wooden works, including doors, frames, shutters, wardrobes, cabinets, skirting, and other joinery works.

Monitoring installation of doors, windows, aluminium works, glazing, railings, grills, hardware, and fixtures.

Coordination with MEP teams for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and other services to ensure proper completion and finishing.

Checking AC openings, sleeves, cores, shafts, service openings, and required clearances before final finishing.

Coordination with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, QA/QC teams, and project management teams.

Monitoring daily manpower, work progress, material availability, and productivity.

Reading and interpreting architectural, civil, structural, MEP drawings, specifications, checklists, and approved details.

Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring work is completed as per approved standards.

Identifying snags, defects, damages, uneven surfaces, undulations, cracks, hollowness, leakage, and finishing-related issues.

Coordinating and monitoring snagging and de-snagging activities and ensuring timely closure of all observations.





Supervising final cleaning, housekeeping, touch-up, rectification, and pre-handover preparations.

Preparing and maintaining daily progress reports, inspection reports, snag lists, handover checklists, and work status reports.

Coordinating with all concerned teams for final inspection, customer inspection, and smooth flat handover.

Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, quality procedures, approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.

Ensuring finishing activities are completed within the approved quality, cost, and project timeline.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of complete building finishing works, from block work to final handover.

Good understanding of construction materials, finishing methods, quality standards, and site execution practices.

Strong skills in site supervision, contractor coordination, manpower management, and daily progress monitoring.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings.

Positive knowledge of quality inspection, snagging, de-snagging, defect identification, and rectification.

Good coordination skills with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, engineers, QA/QC, MEP, and project management teams.

Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, daily reports, checklists, and project documentation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines and handover targets.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.

Education

Diploma in Civil Engineering – Pursuing / Work in Progress

Currently pursuing a Diploma in Civil Engineering, along with practical experience in building construction and finishing activities at project sites.
