Purpose of the Role:
Support RF payload and communications engineering for the LEO satellite constellation. The role performs RF and link-budget analysis and antenna and microwave simulation under mentorship, and supports payload and communications engineering tasks, as part of the payload-interfaces team.
Job Responsibilities:
RF & Communications Analysis
Perform RF analysis and link-budget calculations for the payload and communications, under mentorship.
Support antenna and microwave analysis and simulation (for example, with HFSS or CST tool), and interpret results against requirements.
Assist with payload and communications engineering tasks and trade studies.
Documentation & Team Support
Prepare analysis notes, calculation sheets, and documentation.
Support design reviews and studies, and incorporate feedback.
Coordinate with the payload-interfaces team,
and build depth in RF and microwave engineering, antenna theory, and link budgets.
Role Deliverables:
RF and link-budget analyses supported under mentorship.
Antenna and microwave simulation results, interpreted against requirements.
Payload and communications engineering tasks supported, with analysis documentation maintained.
Skills required:
Foundation in RF and microwave engineering.
Antenna theory and link budgets.
RF simulation tools (for example, HFSS or CST) at a foundational level.
Analysis and documentation.
Team coordination and willingness to learn under mentorship.
Education Qualification: BE or BTech in Electronics and Communication, ME or MTech desirable.
