ETL Developer

Working Hours: 11 AM – 9 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with robust expertise in Azure Databricks, Spark, and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-performance data architectures.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and develop ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, and Apache Spark

Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines for analytics, ML models, reporting, and data products

Develop optimized and scalable data integration workflows across multiple data sources

Ingest data from diverse sources such as RDBMS, APIs, FTP, and cloud storage in formats like CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, and unstructured data

Write complex SQL queries and perform performance tuning and optimization

Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across pipelines

Contribute to data architecture evolution, standards, and best practices

Collaborate with stakeholders including product, analytics, and engineering teams

Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance





Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, and Data Architecture

5+ years of hands-on experience with Python

2+ years of experience with Apache Spark (PySpark / Spark SQL)

2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Functions, and Service Bus

Strong expertise in SQL, including query optimization and schema design

Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Git, Artifactory, and SonarQube

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Strong understanding of data architecture concepts such as Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Data Warehousing

Experience in data modeling techniques (SCDs, partitioning, indexing, aggregation strategies)

Exposure to Machine Learning or LLM-based systems is a plus

Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for large-scale systems

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
