Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong HOD to lead the academic delivery of BCA in AI & ML and BCA in Data Science & Cybersecurity programmes.
The candidate must be capable of teaching advanced subjects as well as managing faculty, curriculum, projects, research, and industry activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the AI/ML, Data Science & Cybersecurity department.
Plan faculty allocation, academic schedules and syllabus completion.
Teach subjects such as AI, ML, Deep Learning, Generative AI, NLP, Data Science and Python.
Have working knowledge of Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, Cloud Security and Network Security.
Guide faculty members and monitor teaching quality.
Supervise student projects, internships and dissertations.
Develop industry-oriented practical training and projects.
Promote research, publications and industry collaboration.




Monitor student performance and placement readiness.
Ensure academic documentation, assessment and quality standards.
Educational Qualification
Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Applications / AI / ML / Data Science / Cybersecurity or allied discipline – Preferred/Mandatory as per institutional norms.
Master's degree such as M.Tech equivalent in a relevant discipline.
NET/SET/SLET preferred where applicable.
Experience
12–15+ years of academic/teaching experience.
Minimum 5 years in an academic leadership role such as HOD, Programme Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, Associate Professor or equivalent.
Technical Skills
Solid expertise in AI/ML, Python, Data Science, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI and MLOps, with working knowledge of Cybersecurity and related technologies.
Exposure to TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, Tableau, Power BI, Hadoop, Spark and LangChain will be preferred. The required bread
