RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership
* Lead the end-to-end development of BMS hardware, software, and system
architecture.
* Define technical requirements, specifications, and performance targets for
BMS products.
* Drive innovation in battery monitoring, diagnostics, safety, and control
systems.
* Review and approve system designs, electrical schematics, and software
architectures.
* Mentor and guide BMS engineers and cross-functional teams.

BMS Design & Development
* Develop battery monitoring and protection strategies for voltage, current,
temperature, insulation, and fault detection.
* Design and implement algorithms for:
* State of Charge (SOC)
* State of Health (SOH)
* State of Power (SOP)
* Remaining Practical Life (RUL)
* Develop battery balancing strategies (active and passive balancing).
* Define battery safety controls, degradation analysis, and thermal management
requirements.
* Establish communication architecture using CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, and other
industrial protocols.

System Integration
* Integrate BMS with PCS, EMS, SCADA,



and battery pack systems.
* Support battery pack design, module development, and containerized BESS
solutions.
* Coordinate with battery cell suppliers and system integration teams.
* Ensure interoperability between hardware, firmware, and software platforms.

Validation & Testing
* Develop validation plans for BMS hardware and software.
* Conduct FMEA, DFMEA, HAZOP, and reliability studies.
* Lead HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), environmental,
safety, and abuse testing.
* Analyze field performance data and implement corrective actions.

Compliance & Safety
* Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as:
* IEC 62619
* IEC 62933
* UL 1973
* UL 9540/9540A
* IEC 61508
* ISO 26262 (where applicable)
* Develop battery safety strategies and emergency protection mechanisms.
* Support certifications, audits, and regulatory submissions.
