1. ROLE SUMMARY The Engineering Manager will lead and coordinate engineering and design activities for industrial and logistics projects, ensuring timely, coordinated and constructible deliverables. The role will manage interfaces across Civil, Structural, Architectural, PEB, MEP, ELV, Fire & Life Safety and other specialist packages, while driving design quality, value engineering, statutory compliance and timely resolution of technical issues to support project delivery.
2. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
- B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in industrial, logistics, warehouse, infrastructure, or large-scale building projects, including at least 5 years in design management, engineering coordination, or technical project leadership
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD – Mandatory.
- Strong experience in engineering / design coordination and multidisciplinary projects.
- Ability to read, review and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, vendors and specialist agencies.
Preferred
- Post Graduate qualification in Construction / Structural / Project Management.
- Knowledge of BIM / Revit / Navisworks.
- Exposure to Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Experience in large-scale industrial / logistics park developments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and project governance systems.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering & Design Management
- Lead and coordinate engineering and design activities for assigned industrial / logistics projects.
- Develop and monitor the Engineering / Design Deliverables Matrix.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, design submissions and technical documents.
- Ensure timely availability of coordinated GFC / IFC drawings.
- Ensure proper drawing revision control and document management.
- Review designs for technical adequacy, constructability and compliance with project requirements.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with Architects, Civil, Structural, PEB, MEP, ELV, Fire & Life Safety and other specialist consultants.
- Manage interfaces between different engineering disciplines and identify potential clashes / discrepancies.
- Lead technical coordination and design review meetings.
- Ensure timely closure of design coordination issues and technical queries.
- Ensure all specialist designs are properly integrated into the overall project design.
Construction & Technical Support
- Provide technical engineering support to project execution teams.
- Review shop drawings, contractor submissions and technical proposals.
- Resolve site engineering issues, RFIs and technical queries in coordination with consultants.
- Identify constructability issues and minimize design-related delays and rework.
- Ensure construction is carried out using the latest approved drawings.
- Support testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
Value Engineering & Procurement Support
- Identify opportunities for design optimization and value engineering.
- Review alternative technical solutions for feasibility, cost and constructability.
- Provide engineering inputs for tender documents, BOQs, scopes and technical specifications.
- Support technical evaluation of consultants, contractors, vendors and specialist agencies.
- Review vendor drawings and technical submissions.
Statutory & Compliance
- Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable Indian Standards, NBC, local regulations, fire & life safety requirements and project specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for engineering-related approvals wherever required.
