Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager / Manager in Process & Factory Automation Sales. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and promoting automation solutions and products across process, safety, and factory automation domains.

Responsibilities include understanding client requirements, preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal engineering teams and principals, and supporting customers through the sales cycle from enquiry to order closure.



The position also requires regular customer visits, market research, participation in technical discussions and demonstrations, and maintaining accurate sales forecasts and reports. The role calls for a solid focus on customer relationship management, achieving sales targets, and representing the company and its partner brands professionally in the market.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, including PLC, SCADA, control panels, and field instrumentation, with the ability to understand process and factory automation applications.
- Experience in technical sales or business development for industrial products such as sensors, control valves, safety systems, gauges, and hazardous area equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, prepare techno-commercial offers, and engage in technical discussions with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including market research, opportunity identification, and sales planning.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in industrial automation.
- Comfort working on-site and visiting customer locations, with a willingness to travel as required within the region.
