Job Objective Optimum utilisation of available resources to achieve planned activities of machine assembly by adherence of set processes.
Primary ResponsibilitiesRole and Responsibilities: Core:
- Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.
- Eliminate the variability in the manufacturing by providing the SOPs, Work instructions & in process quality Checks.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.
- Drive & implement the 6S. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities.
- Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements.
- Investigate production and process issues and providing technical support and training wherever required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Produce written reports and make presentations.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Lead and/or support technicians and trainee engineers.
- Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.
- Be an effective team member, working with CFT to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output.
- Carries out the production process within the allotted resources and budget, with minimal wastage and optimal manpower utilization.
- Liaises with other internal customers and suppliers as required in order to ensure an integrated and effective manufacturing area.
- Ensures daily production reports updates with valuable quality and minimal failures.
- Manages disciplinary issues and other team related matters.
- Comply with the Health, Safety & environmental Policies.
- Multiskilling of Technicians by training and providing guidance.
Key Result Areas
- Execute Panel and M/c integration using approved P&ID; and EPlan Schematics.
- Well versed with SAP PP module.
- Prepare handover checklists for ITR and QA for function tests.
- Deliver assembled M/c in time according to project timeline in co-ordination with Assembly and PPC.
- Support execution in equipment function tests with wired control panel (I/O test/ITR/M/c Settings and device parameterizations).
- Change request for electrical drawing/BOM correction/Layout through change control process.
- Highlight shortages/OLR to PPC and manage parts availability.
- Lean management & Value Engineering.
- Having good knowledge in PLC programming, SCADA, Safety compliance (CE / UL / CSA etc.).
- Electrical/Automation Controls-PLC (Troubleshooting).
- Production & manpower planning.
- Analysis skill for plan vs actual of production.
- Inventory analysis.
Technical Competency
- High technical knowledge about Electrical Assembly.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering of value engineering & Lean Manufacturing.
- Conversant with SAP- Routing / Confirmation / BOM etc.
- Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, Presenting Technical Information.
- Adequate knowledge of DOE/Six Sigma - preferably green belt.
- Awareness of QMS, HSE.
Level of Education B.E. Electrical
Experience 10 - 12 years of experience in A & C assembly.
Industry: Capital Equipment (preferably Pharma / Packaging Machinery)
