Role : Embedded System Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 1-3 Years

What you will do :

- Assist in building and maintaining the hardware backbone of our EMS defect detection systems — camera triggers, lighting controllers, and sensor interfaces.
- Develop and test firmware on microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32-class) for controlling lighting, synchronizing camera capture, and reading sensors.
- Implement and debug communication between cameras, sensors, PLCs, and hardware controllers using standard industrial protocols.
- Support the electrical bring-up of vision stations: reading schematics and datasheets,

wiring, and validating hardware on the bench and factory floor.
- Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to debug timing, signal, and integration issues.
- Write Python scripts for test automation and hardware validation.
- Learn PLC programming and assist in integrating vision hardware with production line workflows.
- Grow toward PCB design and more advanced embedded Linux/RTOS work as the systems mature.

Preferred Qualification :

- Bachelor's/Master's in EC, EE, CS, or related branches; candidates from other backgrounds with a solid skill match are also considered.

- Strong fundamentals in C/C++ for embedded development, with Python for scripting and test automation.
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32 or similar) — GPIO, timers,

interrupts, DMA — along with RTOS and embedded Linux basics.
- Knowledge of communication protocols for sensor, camera, and PLC integration with hardware controllers.
- Hands-on debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and multimeter, with the ability to read schematics and datasheets; exposure to PLC programming and willingness to learn PCB design.

NMTronics (NEST Division) builds automation solutions for the Electronics Manufacturing

Services (EMS) industry. As part of this role, the candidate is expected to be eager to learn about EMS manufacturing processes during the initial stages of onboarding, and to stay flexible in picking up a wide range of technical skills. This learning mindset is essential, as the role involves supporting and contributing across the entire product development lifecycle — from understanding the factory floor to helping build and refine the final product.
