Role Description The DG Expert role is a full time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. This role is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of diesel generator (DG) systems supporting telecom infrastructure, ensuring reliable power availability for network sites. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring DG performance, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, managing fuel usage and logistics, and maintaining detailed records and reports.

The DG Expert collaborates with field teams, vendors,



and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, support uptime targets, and comply with safety and environmental standards. The role also involves supporting energy optimization initiatives, implementing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement in power management processes.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in diesel generator operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with control panels and power backup systems.
- Knowledge of telecom site infrastructure, including tower equipment, power distribution, and backup solutions for 4G and 5G networks.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance planning, vendor coordination, and spare parts management.
- Understanding of safety, statutory compliance, and environmental regulations related to DG operations and fuel handling.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, maintenance logs, performance reports, and basic electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and basic MS Office applications for reporting, data tracking, and coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with field teams in fast-paced environments.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field; relevant DG or power systems certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in telecom infrastructure, data centers, or large-scale power backup environments is preferred.
