Job Summary (List Format):

- Administer, monitor, secure, backup, and optimize MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL cluster environments in both production and non-production.
- Architect and implement database solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with development and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to support data storage and reporting systems.
- Execute automation tasks using Ansible and Terraform to streamline database operations.
- Apply expertise in both relational (Oracle, SQL, MySQL, MariaDB) and non-relational (MongoDB, NoSQL) database systems, from evaluation to deployment and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.




- Maintain and improve database security and compliance.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis, responding to incidents and outages.
- Use scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell) for automation and process improvement.
- Maintain solid knowledge of Linux systems and network maintenance as it pertains to database environments.
- Nice to have experience with Elastic and Redis.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training, plus 6+ years of experience (with at least 4 years in DBA roles).
