About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis with the potential for full-time conversion after six months. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining robust data systems that support analytics, business intelligence, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, scalable, and meaningful insights that influence strategic decision-making.

The position requires a proactive individual who is proficient in modern data engineering tools and cloud technologies, with a keen eye for data quality, security, and performance optimization.

Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in data engineering principles and hands-on experience with cloud-based data solutions. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with expertise in big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or PySpark. Candidates should have practical experience building and managing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Data Flows, and Notebooks.

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, especially Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Delta Lake, is required. Additionally, knowledge of data modeling,



master data management, and reporting tools like Power BI, SSAS, and DAX will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are also important.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure data architectures that align with business needs, ensuring the solutions are robust and future-proof. Lead the end-to-end data lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment, testing, and maintenance. Build and manage data pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources, including third-party systems and RESTful APIs, utilizing tools like Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Flows.

Embed Master Data

Management (MDM) solutions into pipelines to ensure seamless synchronization and consistency across systems.

Design and implement data storage solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, and Delta Lake, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Define and implement match, merge, and survivorship rules for master data management, facilitating accurate and unified data views. Use Python, PySpark, and Fabric Notebooks to process and transform large-scale data efficiently, optimizing workflows for performance and scalability.

Develop complex analytical models, including SSAS OLAP cubes, tabular, and semantic models, to support advanced reporting and insights. Write MDX and DAX queries to enable dynamic data analysis and visualization through Power BI and other reporting tools.





Implement data quality checks, validation procedures, and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance policies. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize queries through indexing and partitioning strategies. Enforce security protocols such as role-based access control, encryption, and auditing to safeguard sensitive data assets.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, processes, and procedures, and provide training and support to team members and end-users to maximize system utilization and efficiency.
