POSITION

Consultant Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon (CTVS Surgeon)

QUALIFICATION

- MBBS
- MS / DNB General Surgery
- MCh / DNB CTVS
- Valid NMC / Chhattisgarh Medical Council Registration

EXPERIENCE

- Experienced CTVS Surgeon preferred
- Candidates with strong hands-on cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical experience will be given preference

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct CTVS OPD consultations and evaluate surgical cases
- Diagnose and manage cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical conditions
- Perform cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures as per expertise
- Manage elective and emergency CTVS cases
- Conduct pre-operative assessment and determine surgical fitness
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care
- Manage surgical complications and critically ill post-operative patients
- Coordinate with Cardiologists, Anaesthesiologists, Intensivists and other specialists
- Review and correlate relevant investigations including ECG, Echocardiography, CT and other imaging
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks and expected outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical records,



operative notes and discharge summaries
- Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
- Ensure adherence to OT, ICU, infection-control and patient-safety protocols

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Strong clinical and surgical expertise in CTVS
- Good hands-on cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgical skills
- Ability to manage complex and emergency surgical cases
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent multidisciplinary coordination
- Good patient counselling and communication skills
- Skilled, ethical and patient-centric approach
