Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Controller role based in Hyderabad.

The Cost

Controller will monitor and control project and operational costs, track budgets, and prepare regular cost reports for management.

Responsibilities include analyzing cost variances, validating invoices and purchase orders, and ensuring adherence to approved cost budgets and financial policies. The role involves collaborating with project, procurement, and finance teams to forecast costs, optimize expenditure, and support pricing or bidding decisions.

Controller will also assist in developing cost control procedures, maintaining accurate cost records, and recommending cost-saving measures while supporting audits and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong cost control and cost management skills, including experience in setting budgets, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost optimization measures.
- Foundational knowledge of cost accounting and finance, with the ability to interpret financial data and align cost activities with organizational objectives.
- Excellent analytical skills, including proficiency in analyzing cost variances, identifying trends, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software; familiarity with ERP or project management systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in cost management or finance are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with large data sets under timelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in office in Hyderabad.
- Prior experience in industrial, construction, or project-based environments is preferred but not mandatory.
