We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contentful CMS Developer to lead and support the design, development, and integration of content management solutions using Contentful, a headless CMS. You will work closely with front-end developers, designers, and content teams to deliver performant, scalable, and content-rich digital experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in web development or CMS implementation.
- 2–3 years of strong experience working with Contentful (mandatory).
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.js, Next.js, or Angular.
- Solid understanding of headless CMS principles and JAMstack architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps collaboration.
- Valuable grasp of SEO, content accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in CMS migration projects (e.g. from WordPress, Sitecore, etc. to Contentful).
- Exposure to image optimization strategies and responsive design.
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based frontend architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Vercel, Netlify, AWS,Azure) for content delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Contentful Architecture & Modeling

- Design and manage content models, fields, validations, and relationships in Contentful.
- Translate business and design requirements into scalable content structures.

CMS Integration & API Development

- Integrate Contentful with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Angular, etc.) using REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Build dynamic pages and layouts using headless CMS architecture.

Custom Development

- Develop custom Contentful UI Extensions and Apps using the Contentful App Framework.
- Configure and manage Contentful webhooks, API tokens, and environment settings.

Content Operations & Workflows

- Support content editors with optimized workflows, editorial interfaces, and best practices.
- Implement localization, multi-language content, and multi-environment strategies.

Performance & SEO Optimization

- Ensure SEO best practices by implementing metadata, structured content, and CDN delivery.
- Optimize API queries and asset delivery (images, videos, documents).

Collaboration & Documentation

- Work cross-functionally with UI/UX, backend, DevOps, and content teams.
- Document content models, APIs, deployment steps, and integration patterns.

Testing & Support

- Write and maintain testable, high-quality code for integration and content workflows.
- Troubleshoot CMS issues and provide ongoing maintenance and support.
