Seedling Foundation is looking for a Computer Teacher, STEM & Technology Support team member to work at the Dongri Observation Home with children in conflict with law (CCL). The role involves teaching practical digital and technology skills to children and staff, while also supporting the organisation with basic technology-related and system-level work.

The role is suited for someone who is patient, engaging, comfortable with technology, and able to make learning accessible and meaningful for children with varied educational backgrounds and exposure.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Computer

Education and Training

- Conduct regular computer sessions for children at the Observation Home using practical and engaging teaching methods.
- Teach digital tools and applications including Canva, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, AI tools, internet usage, email communication, and other relevant computer skills.
- Conduct computer training sessions for staff and teachers at the Observation Home based on their needs and skill levels.
- Create lesson plans, activities, and learning material suited to different levels of understanding and exposure.

2. STEM & Technology Activities

- Plan and conduct engaging STEM-based activities for different age groups.
- Introduce children to concepts such as:
- Basic coding and computational thinking
- Robotics and electronics
- Science experiments
- Problem-solving and logical reasoning
- Design thinking
- Creative use of technology
- Use practical, hands-on activities rather than relying only on classroom teaching.
- Develop projects that allow children to build, experiment, create and learn through doing.




- Identify age-appropriate digital and STEM tools that can be introduced into the programme.

3. Monitoring and Documentation

- Regularly track and assess the progress of children and staff through observations, assessments, and maintenance of relevant records and lesson documentation.
- Document sessions, learning processes, observations, and key experiences, and support the organisation with written material such as blogs, newsletters, reports, meeting notes, and website content.

4. Technology and System Support

- Support the organisation and Observation Home with basic technology-related troubleshooting and digital systems support.
- Assist with digitisation of records, organisation of data and documents, and creation of simple processes to improve efficiency and accessibility of information.

5. General Program Support

- Support organisational events, workshops, and activities where required.
- Contribute to other organisational initiatives, including post-release support work and additional responsibilities based on evolving organisational needs.

Qualifications

- Graduate degree in any field.
- Basic teaching or facilitation experience is preferred.
- Comfort with digital tools and basic technology systems is essential.
- Prior experience working with children or in the social sector is an advantage.
