Role Description This remote internship role as a Computer Aided Design Specialist focuses on supporting the design and development of luxury jewellery pieces. The intern will create detailed CAD models and technical drawings for rings, necklaces, bracelets, and custom pieces based on design briefs and client specifications. Daily tasks include refining existing designs, applying CAD standards, preparing drawings for prototyping or manufacturing, and collaborating with designers to translate creative concepts into precise digital models.

The role also involves organizing design files, ensuring accuracy in measurements and materials, and participating in reviews to maintain brand quality and aesthetics.



This is a structured internship role with opportunities to learn from experienced jewellery designers and gain exposure to luxury product development.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with the ability to create accurate 2D and 3D models for jewellery or product design.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of CAD Standards and Drawing conventions to ensure consistency, clarity, and manufacturability of design documentation.
- Candidates should possess Technical Drawing and general Drawing skills to visualize concepts, define specifications, and communicate design intent effectively.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or similar digital modeling workflows, demonstrating comfort with complex design software environments.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, precision in measurements, and an eye for aesthetics, especially in luxury or fashion-related products.
- Candidates should possess basic proficiency in relevant jewellery CAD software (e.g., Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar) or be willing to learn quickly.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills, the ability to work independently in a remote setting, and a collaborative mindset when receiving feedback from designers.
- Candidates should possess ongoing or completed studies in industrial design, jewellery design, mechanical design, or a related field; prior portfolio of design work is highly beneficial.
