Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Chennai.

The Chartered

Accountant will oversee statutory and internal financial reporting, including preparation and review of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and consolidation of accounts across business segments. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial controls, as well as monitoring budgets, variances, and cost optimization initiatives. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements, coordinating audits, and supporting risk management and internal control processes.

Accountant will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis, support management decision-making, and contribute to process improvements in finance and accounting.

Qualifications

- Professional accounting skills, including Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and solid knowledge of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Proficiency in taxation, compliance, and audit coordination, including direct and indirect tax, statutory audits, and internal audits.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel and data management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities, with a focus on accuracy and control.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Prior experience in multi-segment or diversified businesses (e.g., foods, engineering, healthcare) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field in addition to CA qualification is preferred.
