Role Description This full-time, on-site Certified HCC Medical Coder role is based in Hyderabad. The role involves reviewing medical records to identify, assign, and validate accurate HCC and other applicable diagnosis codes in accordance with official coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements. The coder will ensure documentation supports the codes assigned, query clinicians when clarification is needed, and maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational coding standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include working with health information and billing teams to support accurate risk adjustment,



minimizing coding errors, and contributing to continuous process improvement. The role may also involve participating in coding audits, training sessions, and feedback discussions to strengthen coding quality and consistency.

Qualifications

- Coding expertise and proficiency in Medical Coding, including experience specifically related to HCC coding.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and practical application within health records and documentation review.
- Education or background in Health Information Management, with familiarity in clinical documentation standards.
- Professional certification such as RHIT or equivalent coding/health information credentials.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
- Understanding of risk adjustment models, payer guidelines, and regulatory compliance in coding.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clinicians and internal teams.
- Ability to work in office in Hyderabad, manage workload efficiently, and adapt to evolving coding requirements.
