Role Description The Business Development Manager (Contract) will lead growth initiatives for Rudhigat – Art, a story, in a hybrid work arrangement based in Jaipur, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including B2B partnerships, retail collaborations, and online marketplaces, to expand the reach of Rudhigat’s handicrafts. The manager will develop and execute sales and marketing strategies, nurture relationships with clients and partners, and represent the brand at events, exhibitions, and meetings.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, preparing proposals and presentations,



managing sales pipelines, negotiating terms, and tracking performance against growth targets. The role also requires close collaboration with artisans and internal teams to align product offerings with market demand while maintaining the brand’s cultural integrity.

Qualifications

- Strong business development, sales, and partnership-building skills, with experience identifying and closing new revenue opportunities.
- Knowledge of marketing and branding, including basic digital marketing practices, social media outreach, and customer engagement strategies.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and translate insights into actionable growth plans and proposals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience or strong interest in handicrafts, traditional arts, or cultural enterprises, preferably within the Indian arts and crafts ecosystem.
- Proven ability to work both on-site in Jaipur and remotely, managing time and priorities independently under a contract arrangement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Arts Management, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Comfort with basic productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, CRM or sales tracking tools) and willingness to learn current systems.
