Role Description The Business Development Executive – Food Industry is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala, India. This position focuses on identifying and pursuing recent business opportunities in the food and beverage sector, including prospecting, lead generation, and building a strong sales pipeline. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with potential and existing clients, presenting flavor and fragrance solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing deals.

The role also involves managing key accounts, maintaining long-term client relationships, coordinating with internal product and technical teams, and tracking market trends to support strategic growth.

The Business Development

Executive is expected to achieve sales targets, provide regular reporting on business activities, and represent CEC professionally at industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

- Strong new business development and lead generation skills,



with the ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline of food industry clients.
- Solid business and account management capabilities to nurture long-term relationships and drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities across diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in sales or business development within the food, flavors, or ingredients industry is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong market awareness, analytical skills, and comfort working with sales targets and performance metrics.
- Ability to work on-site in Kerala, India, with regular client visits and occasional travel as required.
- Proficiency in basic office software and CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and account activities.
