Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Ceded Reinsurance

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Ceded Reinsurance domain expertise. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in gathering business requirements, process analysis, functional documentation, data migration, system integration, testing, and supporting end-to-end reinsurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for ceded reinsurance solutions.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, actuarial, accounting, operations, and IT teams to prepare functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Support ceded reinsurance processes, including:
- Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance
- Premium Cession
- Claims Recoveries
- Commissions & Settlements
- Bordereaux
- Reinsurance Accounting & Reporting

- Define business rules for quota share, surplus, excess of loss (XoL), catastrophe covers, retentions, limits, layers, reinstatements, and reinsurer participation.
- Support London Market workflows, bordereaux processing, statements, and operational controls.
- Prepare source-to-target mapping documents and support integrations between policy, claims, billing, finance, general ledger, and reporting systems.
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and business sign-off activities.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT,



defect management, production validation, and post-production support.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reinsurance accounting and reconciliation activities.

Required Skills

- 12+ years of Business Analysis experience with Ceded Reinsurance.
- Strong knowledge of Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance.
- Experience with reinsurance accounting, claims, underwriting, and finance processes.
- Expertise in requirement gathering, BRD, FRD, user stories, process mapping, and gap analysis.
- Experience in data migration, reconciliation, and system integration projects.
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and production support.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
