Role Description

Atlas Copco is seeking a Business Analyst with strong stakeholder management and requirements engineering experience to support embedded product development initiatives. The role involves working closely with Japanese customers, product owners, and engineering teams to understand business needs, define requirements, and ensure successful delivery of embedded solutions. The position requires excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
- Work directly with Japanese customers and global stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
- Translate customer requirements into clear user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with Embedded Software, Firmware, Hardware, and Testing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive requirement reviews,



clarification sessions, and change management activities.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and acceptance testing.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements from concept to implementation.
- Prepare project documentation, presentations, reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and business process analysis.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation, Electronics, IoT, or Product Engineering domains.
- Exposure to Embedded Linux, Firmware, RTOS, or industrial communication protocols.
- Understanding of product development and verification processes.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and customer-facing projects.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Language Requirement (Mandatory)

- Japanese language proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to independently conduct customer discussions, workshops, and requirement sessions in Japanese.
