Role Description The Bakery Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for producing high-quality baked goods that align with Caterspoint’s focus on healthy and delicious food. Daily responsibilities include preparing and baking breads, pastries, cookies, and other items; following and refining recipes; and ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation. The role involves managing ingredient preparation, maintaining inventory of baking supplies, and coordinating production schedules to meet order and service demands.

The Bakery

Chef oversees food safety and hygiene standards in the bakery area, operates baking equipment safely,



and collaborates with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. This position may also support training of junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and product quality.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in baking and pastry techniques, including dough preparation, mixing, proofing, and finishing.
- Experience in recipe execution and development, with the ability to adapt traditional baked goods into healthier options.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and compliance with kitchen sanitation standards.
- Ability to manage production schedules, maintain inventory, and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail in taste, texture, and visual presentation, with a commitment to consistent quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across kitchen and service teams.
- Prior experience as a Bakery Chef, Pastry Chef, or in a similar professional bakery or café environment preferred.
- Formal culinary or bakery training is an advantage, though hands-on experience with strong skills will also be considered.
