Summary:

The Assistant Lab Manager will be responsible to plan, manage and supervises the activities of a centralized laboratory and performs standard biological, microbiological and chemical tests in all areas of medical laboratory to assure their delivery in an accurate and timely fashion using proper safety precautions.:

Key Functions

- Ensuring the lab screening tests are conducted as to the Company Standard
- Responsible to have the SOPs for all the techniques and methodologies being handled
- Ensure that all data are maintained accurately and timely in accordance with Aviagen standards and process
- Review all results which fall out with limits and decide on further action where appropriate, including escalation of issues which pose a health risk to products and the Company
- Manage the laboratory staff in the aspects performance management, communication,



training and development, etc.,
- Ensure that existing and new employees are properly trained and their competence assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they operate to the quality standards required.
- Ensure the working practices in the laboratory meet appropriate standards of hygiene, health and safety.
- Periodical report submissions
- Plan and manage the laboratory budget, seeking opportunities for cost efficiencies and quality improvements where necessary

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

- M.Sc., Microbiology / Biotechnology
- Basic Computer Operating Skill
- Excellent communication skill
- Need to be a positive leader
- Analytical skills
