Senior Manager - Engineering What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

- Support maintenance cost reduction, utility savings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Assist in reducing maintenance costs through timely preventive maintenance and proper upkeep of equipment.
- Minimize machine breakdowns by following maintenance schedules and reporting abnormalities promptly.
- Support reduction in power, fuel, compressed air, steam, and water consumption through productive operation of utilities.
- Participate in Kaizen, TPM, and cost-saving projects to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure optimum utilization of maintenance materials, spare parts, and consumables.
- Monitor utility and maintenance data and report deviations for corrective actions.
- Help improve machine availability and reduce production losses due to equipment failures.
- Support implementation of energy conservation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in controlling contractor and maintenance service costs through effective supervision.
- Contribute to annual savings targets through disciplined maintenance practices and process improvements.

Customer Service

Ensure uninterrupted production support and high machine availability.

Internal Processes: PM compliance, downtime reduction, critical spares management, statutory compliance and timely MIS reporting

- Attend machine breakdowns promptly and minimize downtime.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities as per schedule.
- Support reliable operation of plant utilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments for quick issue resolution.
- Ensure availability of critical spares for maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records and submit MIS reports on time.
- Follow safety, quality, statutory, and environmental requirements.




- Participate in TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

Internal Processes

- Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, audit requirements, safety standards, and documentation.

- Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, equipment history, and statutory documents.
- Support internal, external, and customer audits and assist in timely closure of observations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, food safety, and statutory requirements during maintenance activities.
- Follow SAP/work order procedures and update maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and permit-to-work adherence.
- Prepare and submit maintenance and utility reports on time.
- Participate in TPM, continuous improvement, and technical training programs.
- Support adherence to AMC, service contract, and spare management procedures.

Innovation and Learning

- Support TPM implementation, automation projects, OEE improvement, Kaizen and capability development.

- Participate in TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support OEE improvement through effective maintenance and reduction of equipment downtime.
- Assist in implementation of energy saving, automation, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify and suggest improvement opportunities in maintenance and utility operations.
- Attend technical trainings and enhance job-related skills and knowledge.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

Mandatory Qualification: B. Diploma in Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in FMCG/Food Processing industry with specialization in SAP.

Mandatory Skills: Preventive Maintenance, Breakdown Analysis, SAP, Vendor Management, TPM, Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance, Health & Safety Management.

Language: Hindi and English.

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

PLC/HMI/VFD troubleshooting, Lean Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering, RCA, ISO Internal Auditor certification, Energy Management and CAPEX project execution.
