Job Description – Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist / Speech Therapist
Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech and Hearing (BASLP / MASLP or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Valid Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registration is preferred/required as applicable to the role.
Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
Experience

Experience in a hospital, psychiatric setting, rehabilitation centre, child development centre, or multidisciplinary clinical setting will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments as applicable.
Identify communication and speech-language difficulties and develop appropriate therapy plans.
Provide individual speech and language therapy sessions based on patient needs.
Work with patients with developmental, neurological, psychiatric, cognitive,



or communication-related difficulties.
Conduct articulation, language, fluency, voice, and communication interventions as clinically appropriate.
Provide caregiver counselling and educate families regarding home-based communication strategies.
Maintain accurate assessment reports, therapy notes, progress records, and other clinical documentation.
Monitor patient progress and modify therapy goals based on clinical requirements.
Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in case discussions and contribute to individualized treatment and rehabilitation planning.
Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, documentation standards, and patient-safety requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and professional standards while handling patient information.
